PIRATE MONTH 2009

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Hello OH-NO Fans!
So I am sure you noticed that there is no Whiskey Falls today. Thats because it is Pirate Month once again here at OH-NO thus putting Whiskey Falls on temporary hiatus. (mainly because Captain Tim and his crew have kidnapped the cast and are holding them for ransom) WF will return in October. Tune in Monday for a Pirate OH-NO! See you later,
—Vince LoGreco

PS. If you can’t make it through the entire month of September without the Falls, go over to Whiskey-Falls.com on September 21st for the relaunch of the comic five days a week.

PPS. You can go over there, you know whiskey-falls.com, and enter your email to be kept up to date on news and to receive the comic in your email every Monday-Friday.

Ten Years of OH-NO Comics

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

Today marks an important day for OH-NO Comics. Ten years ago today OH-NO was first printed in the Davis & Elkins Senator during my freshman year of college.

It is amazing to think that ten years has passed since it’s first time being published. I have recently found the sketchbook containing all of my original drawings for OH-NO and hope to rescan all of the old comics into the computer for better quality and to make sure the original published dates match. I looked through my archive and every comic from 1999 is posted on the same date that it was originally printed in the newspaper.

As a way of celebrating ten years of OH-NO Comics, I have made arrangements with the D&E Senator to run the current comics that update on the website now. (if you want it to run in your schools paper let me know, colleges can run the comic for free).

So while it hasn’t been a constant ten years, and we have only been online since 2007, this still is a major milestone for me. And 2009 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for OH-NO. We went to our first comicon, introduced Whiskey Falls, released our first book, made our first t-shirt and yesterday I put Whiskey Falls on it’s path to updateing five days a week at its own site.

I want to thank all of my readers, especially all those who have been reading since 1999 and I look forward to another ten more years in 2019!

Thanks, Vince LoGreco, 09/22/2009
